When my photographer friend, Carolyn Troadec (of Troadec Photography), asked if I would accompany her to San Diego to 2nd shoot with her I couldn’t have anticipated how amazing it would turn out.  No detail was missed in this beautiful beach themed San Diego wedding.  Thanks again to Carolyn for having me along!

Mindee & Sean had a typewriter guestbook!  So clever.

I just loved Mindee’s energy!  She was seriously having a blast!  And you can’t help but love the girls teal dresses.  Fabulous.

The boys were tons of fun too.  They were definitely good sports when I kept asking them to jump!

Even the flower girl, daughter of the bride and groom, was having a blast.

Did I mention we were able to talk our way onto a boat?  You can talk anyone into anything when you have a woman in a wedding dress.

Time to go party!  Seriously these details were KILLER.

This couple did NOT cut back in the sweets department.  Even their beach, sand dollar covered cake was framed by delicious cookies!  My kind of couple.

For their first dance, they played baseball for their guests.  Am I in heaven?

Gia and Derek were married at the Sherwood Oaks Country Club.  A light breeze was blowing on this lovely Sunday afternoon, seriously we couldn’t have ordered a more beautiful day.

I just loved Gia’s asymmetrical dress.

And her adorable accents on her flowers, photos of both moms!

The boys got ready in the board room.  We couldn’t resist a “trump” shot.

Gia wrote Derek a beautiful letter that he allowed his brother to read at the reception.  This is love.

Time to get married!

Off to the party.  Gia chose such lovely purple accents for her wedding and cute details.

Maureen & Hayden married in Rancho Palos Verdes at the Point Vicente lighthouse.  Civilians aren’t usually allowed access to the grounds for a wedding but that was no problem for Maureen, the daughter of a Coast Guard Admiral!

They both got ready at the beautiful Terranea Resort.

Hayden sent Maureen a beautiful letter that made her tear up.  So sweet.

Maureen’s grandma was sure not to miss a moment.  Her camera was constantly within reach.

In attendance at Maureen and Hayden’s wedding?  Their dogs of course!  Among many other close friends and family.

The happy couple decided to do a Celtic Knot tying ceremony.  It was very beautiful and unique.

We snuck off for a few photos in and around the lighthouse.  I wish every couple could get married here.  Between the light, the setting, and the totally fun couple, I was in heaven.

Time to PARTY!

Unbeknown to Hayden, Maureen had been taking hula lessons and surprised him with a hula at the end of their cocktail hour.

The insanely creative details were done by Maureen and her family.  I just love a good DIY wedding.

This wine was made especially for Maureen & Hayden.  They wanted everyone to give it a try and sign the bottle as their guestbook.  See what I mean? Clever.

I’ve never seen a couple compliment each other so well with their fun, adventurous, silly spirits.  You both are amazing and may you two have the most wonderful life together!

You know it’s going to be a fabulous wedding when you see your bride in the morning and you both squeal with delight upon seeing each other.  You may remember this amazing couple from their Bonnie & Clyde engagement session, as well as their picnic session.

Time for a party.  This place was a hidden gem.  I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was here.  Not to mention the fantastic details and colors!

Heather & Eric are both librarians.  They met at a convention of sorts and it was literally love at first sight.  When Heather first met him, she was concerned that perhaps he was married, but soon realized that the pockets of his jacket were still sewn shut.  She knew that if he were a married man, this would not be the case.  They talked for hours, Heather refusing to leave until he asked to see her again.  And like a smart man, he did.

Heather had a very special inscription on her ring.  Being both librarians, so she chose to have the Dewey decimal system for Missouri, marriage and love placed on her ring.  Really?  Does it get cuter than this?

Even though it was absurdly hot and sticky, Eric and Heather were total troopers.  We ran around the Missouri Botanical Garden like we owned it and got some fabulous shots.

Heather’s best friend is a man, so she had what she called a “man-tron” her Man of Honor.  He did his duties very well, even touching her up before her ceremony!

Their reception was at the St Louis Schlafly Bottleworks.

These cards were hand painted by Eric’s mother for each guest individually.  What a great keepsake!
