Friday, April 16th, 2010

I have to say, sometimes I feel like the luckiest person on earth.  Meeting Jenny Dayco, for instance, reminds me of this.  Not only is she an incredibly talented and amazing jewelry designer, she’s also a totally fabulous person.  When she asked if I’d be interested in shooting the launch of her jewelry line at Foley & Corinna of course I jumped at the opportunity.  Fantastic jewelry, delicious appetizers, DJ, AND a bar complete with swanky bartender?!  Yes please!

Katy came up with two really cute games for the party.. celebrity baby name guessing game and guess the baby in the photo.  She had all the invitees bring baby photos of themselves for a contest to see who could guess the most right.

shoshana bat mitzvah

I had the absolute pleasure of being involved in Shoshana’s Bat Mitzvah.  After meeting this lovely lady, I was shocked to find out she was only 13.  She has such class, politeness and not to mention is STUNNING!

It’s no wonder where she gets her looks huh? This is one good looking family.

Not only are they a good looking family, they are also very sincere and kind.  Shoshana’s brother made her this Yad for her to read the Torah with.  He carved it himself.

Shoshana’s Tallit was made in Isreael special just for her.  It’s one of a kind.

And of course, what Bat Mitzvah would be complete without dessert?!  Most of these delectable little cakes were baked by Feed Your Soul Cakes.  And the red velvet cupcakes were crafted by Susie’s Cakes.  Seriously.. yum!

If this doesn’t explain how awesome and amazing this family was.. toward the end of the night Shoshana’s mom asked me to take a photo of myself because she wanted one of me too.  :)  Of course I asked Shoshana to be in it with me and she happily obliged.  I feel so lucky to have been involved in this event.  Shoshana has the most beautiful life ahead of her and I can’t wait to see what she does with it.
