Some of you may remember little Lulu from her days as a pink poodle on this post.  I’ve never seen a baby with so much spirit and such beautiful blue eyes!  She’s such a delight to be around, almost makes my job too easy.

st louis family photography

It’s almost scary to me (not to mention makes me feel old!) to think how long I’ve known this family.  I went to their wedding, I met the oldest (farthest on the left) just days after he was born, and then I babysat for them since he was just 5 years old.  They, in turn, have become my family, and have a truly special place in my heart.

They wanted to include me somehow into their family session.  This was my solution.  Heart these guys.

After our family session, I took the kids off for a few portraits.  You might remember I shot Aaron’s senior session last fall.

After the older two kids went off on their own, the girls and I decided to do a little more stylized photo session.  It was too much fun.  Seriously.

As I’ve literally watched these kids grow up, it’s insane to me how quickly time passes.  Below, I snapped a photo of the youngest and I.  She was only 3 months old when I started babysitting and turned 13 this past year!   I still don’t understand how that is possible.  Where does the time go?

Thanks again to my family for always supporting me and making me feel truly special.   I can’t express how much it means to me that you’ve always made me feel like I belonged.   You are the best family anyone could ever ask for.

Some of you may remember Dominic from his newborn session about 3 months ago.  How quickly they grow!  I was shocked to see how much he’d grown in such a short time.  But isn’t he adorable?  I just love his cute pudgy little arms.

We used this bench in his room to show Dominic’s growth.  See the difference?  Soon he won’t even fit on this bench anymore.

Dominic was just two weeks old when we did this session.  He is such a sweet, sweet baby!

Dominic’s father is a major USC fan.  So naturally, his son is already too.  His room is decked out in Snoopy sports because his mom refused to decorate his room in USC gear until he’s at least old enough to ask for it.

We took photos of him his dad’s USC gear.  I think he looks ready for a game or like he’s already had a beer or two at least.

Dominic’s parents are so proud of him.  How could they not be with such a healthy happy baby boy?

I’m so excited to watch Dominic grow through my lens.  I get to see him every three months because his mom decided to get the Baby’s First Year Package!  Yay!  See you soon little guy.

What is a boudoir session?
A boudoir session is an opportunity for women to dress up and pose in sexy lingerie for portraits.  Boudoirs used to be for brides to surprise their husband’s on their wedding night but not anymore ladies!  Boudoir photography is a great gift to give your man.  It’s sure to be something he’ll never forget!

Have a girlfriend?  Why not do this session for her? She’ll love it!

Don’t have a significant other?   Want to feel like a pampered supermodel?  Then this photo session is for you!

Where do I sign up for my session?
Drop me an email – shannon@shannonleeimages.com – to reserve your space. Hurry though because space is limited! A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your time.

Who will photograph my session?
That would be me! Shannon. A woman.

What is provided at the shoot?
A 45-60 minute session with me, Shannon Lee, as your photographer to help you relax and feel comfortable posing in front of the camera. You will receive a CD with rights to print and a password-protected online gallery to display your images and order prints if you so desire.

A stylist/fashion designer will also be present. She will have a few vintage props and nightgowns on hand, but the sizes are limited and may not look right on you or that may not be your style. PLEASE bring your own outfits. We also have a jewelry designer providing us with some items! Check out her site at – http://www.jennydayco.com/

Since the shoot is taking place in a swanky loft in Downtown Los Angeles, we are providing parking in the building to you for free. We will also be serving champagne which is included in your session fee.

Is a makeup artist included?
If you would like your makeup and/or hair professionally done a makeup artist is available at an extra charge. Please let me know if this is something you want to have at your session ahead of time.

What do I wear?
Bring plenty of options. Two to four options is ideal. This can be ANYTHING you want, sexy lingerie or even one of his dress shirts and a tie! Not sure what you like best? Bring options! Get creative and let’s have fun. Don’t forget your sexy heels and stockings!

Although vintage is the theme, you’re welcome to bring your own ideas! Have a theme you want to do? Seen photos you want to recreate? Email them to me!

What do I need to do to prepare?
Wear loose fitting clothes before your arrival to avoid bra lines/red marks. If you have any allergies to fabrics or makeup, be sure to bring products that will not cause a reaction. Iron and hang your clothes to avoid wrinkles and don’t forget to bring any props, hats, blankets, fur, jewelry, special makeup, heels, boots, stockings, etc. that you might like to use! Not sure what to bring? Always bring too much than not enough!

Should I bring props?
YES! Please feel free to bring anything you can think of.

Can men participate?
As models, at this time no. Girls only at the photo shoot. But guys, if you want to give your girls a gift she won’t forget why not surprise her with a glamorous photo shoot and you’ll get a little bonus from it too!

Can I get a personalized album or calendar?
Sure! Although if this is a must have by Valentine’s day, then I can’t guarantee it will be in on time. These also make great anniversary gifts!

Will images from my session be displayed on your website or blog?
I respect your privacy. Only images approved by you will be placed on my website/blog. I will ask for you to approve at least 3-5 images from the session that I may use for portfolio, blog, and website purposes. All images in your online gallery are password protected.

I’ve never done this before and I’m nervous.
That’s perfectly normal! Feel free to bring anything that makes you feel more comfortable. An ipod or CD with your favorite tunes, a snuggly robe, etc. Getting your makeup and/or hair done before can also help to calm your nerves. AND there will be champagne! I promise a good time, afterwards girls always say how much fun they had.

Can I bring a friend?
Of course, as long as she’s female. Only girls allowed at this shoot this time. Friends are more than welcome and encouraged to participate too. If you are bringing a non-participant, please let me know. Space is limited in the studio.

What if I don’t have a perfect body?
No problem! You look fabulous just as you are! My job as a photographer is to emphasize the good and minimize the less than perfect. Come relax and be yourself. Remember, you are absolutely fabulous just the way you are.

What if I really want to do a session but I’m not available on Feb 7?
Let’s set up a personal session just for you!  Email me!
