I had a photoshoot today with a friend, MP, from the band The Mighty Regis. We had a blast! I’m so excited to be able to post a few sneak peek photos from our shoot today…

louella & james – pregnancy shoot

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

I had so much fun doing this shoot! Louella and I sometimes shoot weddings together. I was so excited when she requested a pregnancy shoot! She was 8 months pregnant in these photos.

Louella and James are such an amazing couple. So much love and devotion, it’s really beautiful.

this one is my favorite

I love little moments like this

Louella thought she looked a lot like this fireplace! James is such a goofball, he picked up wood and stood behind her. She didn’t even know he was there. So fun!

Louella and I chased James away and went to take photos of just her. We were both so pleased with the results. She’s such an amazing person and the camera loves her.

I can’t wait to photograph her new baby girl! Congrats to Louella and James on baby Isabelle, born December 17, 2008!

alexa and charles

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Alexa and Charles married on October 3, 2008 in Springfield, Missouri. Although I typically shoot in Los Angeles, Alexa and I have been friends since college and she wanted me there with my camera for her day.

Alexa and Charles are the perfect pair. They are so in love and complete each other in a ways that are almost mysterious to me. It was truly remarkable to see them commit to each other with such love and devotion. I couldn’t be happier for them!

Alexa gave her bridesmaids all earrings, jewelry and custom embroidered (with their initials) shawls to wear on the wedding day. Their a-symmetrical, tea length, dresses were custom made (Alexa’s design!) They looked so original and fantastic!

They were a really great group of girls. I had so much fun running around with them.

I just love the way Charles looks at her. It’s almost like he seeing her for the first time, everytime.

The beautiful cake

The send off:  The groomsmen TP-ed Charles’ jeep.  It was classic.

The reception was held in Alexa’s parent’s backyard. Alexa wanted it here because she grew up in this house and had always dreamed of having a wedding there. Being some of the most extraordinarily talented women I know, Alexa and her mother, Becky, used their interior decorating skills to create the most stunning setting.

Making their grand entrance with their dog, a great dane, Turbo, he laid on the ground sighing and huffing during all the speeches.

I was truly honored to be apart of their amazing day.

jovanna headshots

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

In September 2007, I got a wonderful new roommate, Jovanna. She does some acting on the side and needed some headshots and conveniently moved in with a photographer. One morning we took an hour or two and shot these. After having taken these in October, I figured that it’s about time I finished editing them and posted them. I’m really pleased with how they turned out.

dean photo shoot

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

I have a good friend who I met at Sundance Film Festival in 2006. Jay Holben is a “retired” cinematographer and now does photography and producing films quite often. He has hired me as an on set photographer for a few of his gigs and then invited me to come join him for this photo shoot.

Dean is a professional model/actor who really knows his stuff. He is great. He has a fantastic smile, some great looks and I got some really excellent shots of him.

After getting to know me a bit, and my goofy sense of humor Dean started to get pretty hammy with me. It was really entertaining. We had a lot of laughs.
