henry + mom

Finally! After much ado, introducing Baby Henry’s! These are his photos from his 1 month photo session. Poor Henry has acid reflux so he is a little cranky but his parents and I managed to keep him happy enough to get some great shots of him!

My best friend pointed out he has little “love heart” nostrils. What a great observation!

Henry had a little sleep midway through our shoot.

Then we did a few artsy poses with mom and dad in little Henry’s room. I love these shots.

Finally we moved outside for a few more family shots. It was such a lovely day except Henry didn’t like to be without his pacifier. We’d have to snap shots between pulling it out of his mouth and cries. Sometimes we left it in. Sorry Henry.

This shot was getting near the end of our shoot but it still made me chuckle.

Natalie had an idea that maybe he’d like to lay in the grass. Apparently, he didn’t. This was about the end of our shoot with little Henry.

I think he looks like he’s shaking his fist at me.

Thank you to Natalie and Brian for letting me take photos of little Henry! He is so sweet and I can’t wait to take more of him as he grows.

updates

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Lately, I feel like I can’t seem to find enough hours in the day. However, I do feel like I’m making some progress with things. I’ve gotten my business area all straightened up, papers filed, taxes done (I get a return, yippee!) etc. I bought more memory for my sputtering computer and working on organizing the external hard-drive. Now it’s time to catch up with photos/updates.

I’m working on a few changes on my main website. This will include a new gallery viewing and new photos (babies, pregnancies, more portraits). I also am restructuring my format to include a client viewing area and new price lists. yay!

Next Post: Baby Henry’s photo shoot! I can’t wait to show everyone!

valentines day

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Wishing everyone a lovely valentine’s day.. I feel it’s been too long since I’ve blogged so I thought I’d put up a little personal post. How did you spend your valentines day? Feel free to comment your answer!

I cooked dinner for my boy saturday night. Roasted vegetable lasagna. I got two thumbs up on this dish. :) I tried a new photoshop technique I discovered thanks to one of my favorite flickr pages – HighlandGhillie.

It was really easy – I just roasted up some veggies: zucchini, red pepper, broccoli, carrots; I was going to add spinach but I forgot. Layered them with noodles and LOTS of mozzarella and ricotta, and baked it at 350 for about an hour. Next time I will put a few more spices (basil, oregano, etc.) in the layering and also try a few different cheese in it too. If you want more details about the recipe feel free to email me. We baked a few chocolate chip cookies for dessert. :)

The next morning I made breakfast the boy and myself. He had boring scrambled eggs and toast but mine is one of my favorites.

It’s poached eggs, (recently discovered how easy those are) steamed spinach, and wheat toast. I drizzled it with a little olive oil this morning and it was AMAZING. Very European.

baby mia – sneak peek

I should be writing since I’ve been putting it on the back burner lately, but I just can’t seem to concentrate on it today. I decided to go ahead and edit two photos from the photo session I had today with baby Mia. She’s just a month old and was the perfect subject! These were caught in about the 20 minutes she slept during the photo shoot.

little toes

Today I did a photo shoot with a little one month old baby, Henry. Here is a sample of what is to come!

I’ve had 3 shoots the past week and I have so much to edit, sometimes I feel like I live at my computer and photo shop is my cigarette. I feel so fortunate though. I can’t wait to book more shoots!
