jeff and cheri

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than documenting love?  Cheri and Jeff originally wanted to get married on Feb. 14 but because of conflicting schedules their wedding will be next month.  I was so excited to get to do a Valentine’s Day themed shoot with such an adorable, head over heels in love couple.  Seriously, this photo session not only brightened my day, but my entire week thus far.  Heart you two.

Jeff and Cheri decided to exchange their Valentine’s Day gifts in front of me.  It was too cute to see their reactions to their gifts.

I couldn’t get over Cheri’s sparkling blue eyes, especially when she looked at Jeff.

I always knew February was a month for showing and celebrating love but I never expected to be the one receiving so much of it.  When my bride to be and good friend, Jess, sent me a text tonight, “Please read my blog tonight….”  After being the only thing she knew about her day for months, dress shopping, and discussing and plotting all the details of her day, I wondered what was up her sleeve.  Of course I immediately typed in her blog address (bicoastalbride.com) and what she had posted floored me.  A blog post all about me and my photography and what it means to her.  It nearly brought tears to my eyes.

If you haven’t been to Jess’s blog, seriously you must.  (that’s bicoastalbride.com, go ahead, type it into your browser now) Even if she weren’t a dear friend and one of my amazing 2010 brides, I’d adore her blog for her originality and not to mention she’s a fantastic writer who makes everything all the more interesting.  Stay tuned for her upcoming engagement session and wedding!

arami & andy :: korean ceremony :: the bungalow club

Arami and Andy held a Korean ceremony after their traditional wedding and reception.  It was so beautiful!  I love the culture that I get to experience shooting weddings.  I couldn’t ask for a more rewarding job.

In a traditional Korean wedding ceremony, the groom’s parents wed the couple.  In this case they were wed several times by many of their relatives.

hollywood presbyterian church

I can’t even begin to tell you how in love I am with this couple.  I have so many amazing photos of them this has definitely been one of the hardest edits because they are just that fabulous!

Arami and Andy wed at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church on Jan 2, 2010.  You may remember this adorable couple from their engagement session back in August 2009.  Think they were hot then?  Just wait.

I couldn’t get over Arami’s beautiful shoes!  Andy’s almost a foot taller than her so she wanted something to give her a boost.  She told me she practiced walking around in them for hours prior to this day to make sure she could tolerate them all day.  She’s a total trooper!

There were tears and lots of joy for these two.  Such a touching ceremony by their pastor, Dan Low.

Now onto the party hosted by The Bungalow Club.

Andy and Arami had so much entertainment for their guests.  They set up a laptop and a printer and guests would take photos and decorate album pages for their guestbook.  So clever!

Their DJ also had some really ridiculously silly games planned for them.  He had Arami leave the room and put  the groomsmen get on their hands and knees so that only their butts would be facing her when she came back in.  She had to pick her groom by his bum!  Of course she got it right.

los angeles wedding reception

Andy didn’t get off that easily, he had to be blindfolded and feel the arms of her bridesmaids to see if he knew which was his.  After some deliberation between Arami and her sister, he got it right too.

The fun and craziness wasn’t over!  Their DJ had couples line up to do an outrageous kiss that Arami and Andy had to copy exactly.  Hilarious.

The cake.  These two never cease to amaze me with their ridiculousness.  Very timidly, they started cutting the cake and the next thing I know they are covered in it.  How the camera and I escaped cake-less I’m not sure.

This wedding was unbelievable fun.  But it’s not over!  Andy and Arami held a Korean ceremony at the end of the night.  Photos of that to come in another blog post later this week.  Here’s one last look of Arami and all her beauty in her wedding dress.
