As I’m getting older, I’m starting to realize just how precious family time is. As a kid, time felt like time would last forever. Now, it’s unreal how fast hours, days, and weeks fly. It’s quicker than I could have ever imagined or anticipated. When I first started my business 5 years ago, I knew I loved documenting people, but I don’t think I fully grasped how unbelievably important these moments can be. Getting to spend time with families, documenting and capturing these unbelievably short-lived moments to my clients is absolutely, hands down the best part of my job. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a client tell me that I took the last professional photo ever taken of a loved one. It’s truly an honor giving these memories to my wonderful clients. Life is too short to not slow down and capture it. Period.

If you haven’t had a family session recently, please don’t hesitate to book one immediately. Even if it’s not with us – although we recommend hiring a great photographer to get the most out of your session, bad photography isn’t always worth it (more on this coming soon) – PLEASE get in front of the camera! You don’t need to lose more weight, you look great. You don’t need your kids to outgrow a phase, they are perfect just the way they are. I know you think you’ll remember these moments forever, but just like everything else in life, it will go by faster than you can possibly imagine. Please, please don’t wait and regret not capturing these all too important moments. Trust us, your future self and your all too quickly growing children will thank you.

I was thrilled when Abby’s mom wanted to set up a session with her extended family. You may remember this little beauty and her parents from her newborn and 6 month sessions. I love that photos mean SO much to this family. It’s always an honor getting asked to capture more family time with my clients. Aren’t they an adorable family? We all had a blast and everyone couldn’t believe how easy it was. I still can’t get over how absolutely gorgeous Abby is becoming – her big blue eyes are to die for! She’s such a happy, cheerful baby but how could she not be with so much love around her?
