{"id":4962,"date":"2011-07-21T23:10:47","date_gmt":"2011-07-22T06:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shannonleeimages.com\/blog\/?p=4962"},"modified":"2011-07-22T10:18:55","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T17:18:55","slug":"julia-kenneth-paul-destination-wedding-poipu-kauai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shannonleeimages.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/julia-kenneth-paul-destination-wedding-poipu-kauai\/","title":{"rendered":"julia + kenneth paul :: destination wedding :: poipu, kauai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"kauai wedding photographer\" src=\"http:\/\/shannonleeimages.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/julia-kp-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I had to literally stop myself from jumping up and down when Julia told me that she and Kenneth Paul (KP) were getting married in Hawaii.\u00a0 KP&#8217;s parents (who also got married the same day 63 years ago) live in Kauai, Hawaii so naturally, there couldn&#8217;t be a more perfect place to start their lives together.\u00a0 Last year,\u00a0 I was lucky enough to get to spend two different weeks in Maui and couldn&#8217;t WAIT for a photo opportunity on one of these beautiful islands.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I was even more excited to find out that this was not going to be just a one day celebration, but a few days of wedding festivities.\u00a0 Sign me up!\u00a0 Wednesday started it off with a morning henna session.\u00a0\u00a0 In the midst of photographing this delicate art, I realized how unbelievably fortunate I am to have such amazing clients who invite me to partake in their fantastic adventures.\u00a0 It&#8217;s in moments like these I feel like the luckiest person on earth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Getting married in Hawaii is like a dream come true.\u00a0 Palm trees sway in the consistently warm sunny, sea breeze.\u00a0 Soft fluffy clouds dance above the deepest blue ocean. It&#8217;s the definition of paradise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5022\" title=\"hawaii\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Thursday was a rehearsal dinner with all the wedding guests which consisted of only very close friends and family.\u00a0 It was so intimate and personal, one of my favorite kinds of weddings.\u00a0 Of course KP and Julia looked fantastic in their matching sari&#8217;s and Julia&#8217;s now dried and beautiful henna.\u00a0 The light was too perfect not to run style=\"text-align: center;\">Friday morning, bright and early, was the wedding preparations.\u00a0 Many of you know I am NOT a morning person, but sleeping late in Hawaii feels illegal.\u00a0 I never
